TDR realised Winter Maintenance was a sector with opportunities. This is why we took the decision to adapt and now offer a Winter Maintenance service. As winter is an annual season, there is no getting away from the fact that with winter comes added dangers caused by cold and freezing conditions. Snow, ice and other hazardous weather conditions can be bad news for employees and clients alike. We offer our services to the local authorities and private sector. Being located centrally in Essex gives us that advantage of a quick response. Our services include:

• Snow clearance to residential and commercial areas.
• Gritting of grounds / access to residential and commercial area.
• Highlighting high risk slip areas through use of barriers and signs.
• Highway gritting for local authorities.

The Law

An occupant of a commercial property is obligated under the management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, including the recent Slip & Trip clause, to appraise risks and take measures to care for employees and customers from the dangers that ice and snow can bring. Failing to do this may consequently end in legal action being engaged by any injured person(s) who have slipped on an employer’s icy grounds.
